Quick Start Guide About ibank@charlottestatebank On Line Banking Welcome to ibank@charlottestatebank, your 24-hour internet banking connection at www.charlottestatebank.com. With ibank@charlottestatebank you have immediate access to a wide range of banking services, including checking your account balances, seeing what checks have cleared, and transferring funds from one account to another. In addition, you can pay loans, request reports, and export transaction data into a file ready for import into your favorite personal financial management (PFM) software. What You Need To use ibank@charlottestatebank On Line Banking, we will need the following:
Logging On and Logging Off Use the following directions to log into www.charlottestatebank.com on line banking. Note: If you are a Cash Management/Business customer, please note that Corporate Cash Management requires a separate login, so you will not be able to access cash management functions and accounts through your www.charlottestatebank.com login.
Logging Off For security reasons, you must always use the Exit button when you have completed an on line banking session. This ensures that no one can gain access to your accounts by using your computer. The Exit option will allow you to return to the www.charlottestatebank.com on line banking Login page or to our Home Page. Account Summary The Account Summary page lists all your accounts with different levels of information depending on the type of account. If the current and available balances are different, you have pending transactions. Please take these transactions into consideration. Account Detail The Account Detail page will give you balance information and transaction activity. You can use the “filter criteria” on the bottom of this page to limit the information on the screen to a certain date, amount, number range, debits or credits only, or both credits and debits. You can also sort your transactions by date, check number, transaction type and amount by selecting the appropriate underlined option. Item Correction The Item Correction page allows you to send the bank a request to make a correction on your account or notify the bank regarding a questionable transaction. Export File To use the auto-reconciliation feature of standard spreadsheet and account software, the Export File page enables you export your account information as a data file. www.charlottestatebank.com is compatible with accounting systems such as Quicken 2001 (Version 2 or higher), Money, Quick Books, and “comma delimited.” Request Report The Request Report page allows you to request a statement containing transaction detail information. You can print a statement for the last 90 days or for a limited date range within the past 90 days. You can limit the content of this report by applying the filter criteria in the Account Detail page prior to requesting your statement. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the e-mail attachment. (Adobe Acrobat Reader is available as a free download at www.adobe.com). Upcoming Transactions The Upcoming Transactions page will let you see a list of pending direct deposits or other ACH (Automated Clearing House) items that have not yet been posted to your account. Transfers and Payments Transfer Funds The Transfer Funds page allows you to transfer funds from one account to another. You can create a single funds transfer or a scheduled, or recurring, scheduled funds transfer by selecting the ‘Advanced Options’ page. All transfer requests received after 2:00 p.m. will be processed on the next business day. Remember to delete any scheduled transfers you wish to discontinue. Pay Loans The Pay Loans page allows you to make a Charlotte State Bank loan payment or a loan principal payment by transferring funds from your demand deposit, savings or money market account to your loan account. This payment can be a one-time payment or a future-dated, or scheduled-recurring payment created using the ‘Advanced Options’ page. All loan payment requests received after 2:00 p.m. will be processed on the next business day. Pay Bills Access the Pay Bills page to make payments on your bills and receive e-bills. This time savings service is offered FREE with unlimited bill payments through the CheckFree WebPay Service. *Please note you will need to enroll for this service in addition to on line banking. Additionally, please allow a minimum of four business days to activate the personal CheckFree service. Business customers wishing to sign up for the CheckFree service may apply on line. However, please print out the application and personally deliver it to the office most convenient for you so we may provide the necessary documentation to complete the application. Scheduled Transactions The Scheduled Transactions page allows you to view the transactions you have scheduled for some date in the future as well as details related to a specific transaction. Remember to delete any scheduled transactions you would like discontinued. Account Services Reorder Checks The Reorder Checks page allows you to order additional checks for your account. If you wish to change the style or design of your checks, please contact a Customer Service Representative directly by telephone at the office most convenient for you:
Reprint Checks The Reprint Checks page allows you to order a copy of a processed check. If you prefer us to mail the check copy to you, please insert a 0 (zero) in the fax number field. Reprint Statements On the Reprint Statements page you are able to order a copy of a previous account statement. If you prefer us to mail the statement reprint to you, please insert a 0 (zero) in the fax number field. There is a $3.00 service charge per reprinted statement copy. Other Services Online Forms You’ll find the following forms on this page: Customer Survey Form Loan Calculator * Please note that the use of the loan calculator does not constitute a loan approval, and the calculated payment amount may vary after adding closing fees, should the bank grant you a loan for a similar amount. User Information Change Passwords For security reasons the system requires you to change your password periodically. You may also change your password any time you wish. Change Account Aliases or Nicknames The Change Account Aliases page allows you to assign or change the alias or nickname for easier recognition of your accounts. For example you may wish to refer to your account “#XX3567” as “My Payroll Acct”. Change Fax Number or E-mail Address The Change Fax or E-mail Address page allows you to change your Profile Information, such as the fax number or e-mail address that is provided to the bank for communications with you. Activity Log The Activity Log displays the transactions you have performed online. Contact Us The Contact Us page allows you to send an electronic message directly to Charlotte State Bank. Because there is a small risk that information transmitted via Internet e-mail could fall into the wrong hands, we suggest that confidential information, such as account numbers or social security numbers, be transmitted only through the Contact Us page and not via regular e-mail. Top Advanced Online Authentication Online Forms Advanced Online Authentication provides enhanced and additional security for the online banking application. It is now a standard part of our online banking and works as part of our commitment to protect you against identity theft and fraud. Advanced Online Authentication adds extra layers of online security to prevent unauthorized access to your accounts and reinforces the fact that you are at Charlotte State Bank’s Internet Banking website. Advanced Online Authentication consists of the following: an image, a caption and three to six challenge questions. This information is known only to you and to us and protects you, whether you are logging in to view your accounts from your own personal computer or another computer. Help Help is accessed from any page within the program. It provides step-by-step instructions for specific activities. Top Miscellaneous Printing Pages To print any page from www.charlottestatebank.com, you must have a printer attached to your computer.
